Activities in Nendaz

In winter skiers and snowboarders dominate the ski slopes. More and more winter guests prefer also walking with racquets and others enjoy cross country ski, skating, curling, sledging and simply walking in the snow. There are also weekly ice hockey games.

In summer you find a diversified hiking paradise. Walking along the "bisses” (irrigation system from the old days) gives much pleasure to young and less young people. Hiking paths go through fields full of flours, woodland with wild animals as capricorns, red deers, roe deers, marmots and other, streams and past an area with the oldest larks in Europe (Balavaux/Prarion) up to the glaciers

Another attraction is the many mountain bike tracks for families and experts

The resort has an open air swimming pool and tennis courts.

Shuttle buses:In summer hikers can benefit from the special buses Nendaz-Veysonnaz and Nendaz-Siviez. In winter our guests can use 5 different bus lines to reach the cablecar station and one bus line Nendaz-Sivier.

Our guests can enjoy excellent food in various restaurants in the resort and surroundings. After a dinner they have a choice of several bars to end the day.

If you want to stay fit we recommend the Fitness-Centre at the resort. It is open the year round.

• Local and Cantonal Festivals for songs and local costumes.
• Very popular cow fighting for the local Race d’Herens in Aproz (May) and at the " Inalp" in Siviez and Balavaux. Race d’Herens are a special breed of cow where the cows fight and not the bulls.
